Wish Eligibility
Carolina Sunshine for Children is honored to grant wishes to children who are facing serious or life-threatening illnesses. To qualify:

The child must be between the ages of 3 and 18 (applications for children up to 21 may be considered on a case-by-case basis).

The child must be a resident of South Carolina. Children receiving treatment outside the state are still eligible.

The child must not have previously received a wish from Carolina Sunshine or any other wish-granting organization.

Only one wish will be granted per child.

Immediate family members — parents/guardians and siblings — may participate in the wish. (Foster families should contact a Carolina Sunshine Board member for more information.)

The wish must reflect the child’s own desire.

Carolina Sunshine is unable to grant wishes for motor vehicles, swimming pools, or firearms.
Wish Application Process

Submit a Wish Application: Complete the official wish application form, including required signatures from the child’s parent or guardian and a licensed medical professional.

Review and Approval: Applications are reviewed by the Carolina Sunshine Board of Directors to ensure eligibility.

Wish Fulfillment: Once approved, the wish must be completed within one year. If more time passes, a new application must be submitted for re-approval.
